Glade House scenery in morning


It is slow in the morning of Glade House. Sandwich for lunch is made from 7:30. Even if breakfast is finished, and daybreak are received still darkly. The preparation for 8:45 departures is finished and The peak of a new snow has come before one's eyes when going out in front of Glade House. 44 hikers have the guide checked equipment. The amount that I eat is put in the paper bag, and it puts it in the backpack. I got it by the dry grape and two oranges. The mains water is replaced with the PET bottle. And, it had breakfast from 8:00.

Milford Track is introduced from here in Suspension Bridge. and it right side shore in the Clinton river goes and it aims at the pass.

The valley deeply. What time does the day about make it do in the surface of a river?

Beechen big tree (R)
The backpack is left in Track. Someone seems to have entered the bypath. The big tree of seeing it soared in the jungle had entered by about 200m. Is the age of a tree about 600 years? They fall, and rot, and the virgin forest seems to be lived and to grow before long.



Wetlands stroll
It is a sign of the wetland. The view opened when entering the bypath and there was a tree road for the stroll.

Is it about ten o'clock? The sun finally reached the surface of a river. And, morning haze is shrouded.

Rest point (R)
It was thought that it came by the 1/3th place and decided to take a rest because it had walked considerably. Because it was about 1/5 when examining it in the waterproof map, it left panicking. The stock is noticed to be left behind when advancing about 800m here. And, It is a Clinton river of memories that returned to taking running.


Mosses (L)
It is said that there are about 550 kinds of Mosses of NZ. Mosses of the temperate zone rain woods had such a carpet, and had the curtain that hung down.

Monkey's chair (R)
There was a chair though in NZ, there was no monkey. The name was forgotten though heard from the guide. It is called "Bracket Fungi" in NZ when examining it later.
An old insulator that pulled the phone wire under the Bracket Fangai remained. It seems that it took an active part before half a century.


Air of Autumn
Is the meadow where the day shines a Japanese pampas grass? And, a little flower reported the end of summer.
The peak of silvery white is like a new snow fell before 3-4 days.

I drank the tea of Corey in this hut, and ate Sandwich.
Hirere Falls (R)
The opposite bank is Hirere Falls in front of the hut in the Clinton river. On that, is it a glacier?



Curious Kea (L)
Kea pokes my jacket when the waterfall is seen, and it returns to the hut. Lunch was aimed at.

Hidden Lake (R)
It appeared quietly to hide such Lake when advancing toward the left in the meadow according to the sign. The rock wall did not reach though threw out a small stone aiming. Failing of muscular power was felt strongly.


Pompolona arrival (L)
The walk of Day2 did not rain as it was not hot and it was not cold and either ended safely.


Lodge scenery (R)
A climbing mountain shoes are taken off, and a splendid U character valley has approached about the terrace when going out. I felt uneasiness in the movement of the cloud.


Washing (L)
You are assiduously washing. I washed thick socks, squeezed by the hand, and dried it in a dry room. However, it doesn't dry even if next morning comes. It is necessary to use the hand roller spin dryer.

Panorama Lobby (R) It is a wonderful lobby where the made valley in the glacier approaches. The international amity starts while feeling relieved resting with the snack and tea.


Dinner (L)
There was next day's briefing by using the slide from the guide for before of the dinner. And, the low-pressure front is approaching rapidly now. It is said that tomorrow's pass will become rain storm or a snowstorm. When walking in the pass, the instruction was given to walk several together for safety.
Therefore, it became the dinner of the worry about tomorrow's weather.
I slept soundly with a cup of wine for the current tiredness at the night. I was woken up from the tour guide by 7:00 next morning. It is 30 minutes ago of the departure.
